You know those Facebook reminders that show you what you were doing that day, a few years ago!? I usually die of embarrassment, being reminded of the shameful pictures I posted years ago. Like a selfie with a crooked baseball hat or something… But today I got the sweetest reminder! A picture of Brad and I when we first became “official boyfriend/girlfriend”, EIGHT years ago! EIGHT! Little did we know, what a life adventure we had in store together. 🙂 Like writing letters while living in different countries for two years, watching fireworks while getting proposed on a sailboat, getting married and having our ‘first dance’ to our favorite song, starting a business together, exploring new countries together, buying our first house, and watching the miracle of our children being born. 🙂
Although Brad and I have had a lot of great times these last eight years, we have also had our trials. If I could go back and tell myself one thing, it would be to always put time and work into our relationship. Just because your married, doesn’t mean that you should stop dating. 😉 I recently started following Beating 50 Percent on instagram, and I love the relationship advice that they give on there! It’s stuff that I wish I would have applied a little better after first getting married — but that’s life I guess! You live and you learn. 🙂 I’m so excited and interested to see where these next years take us. I have a feeling that the best is yet to come — Love you, Brad!
What kind of tree is that? And is it real? I have been looking for a good indoor tree for part of our home decor 🙂
