This is the first winter in a while, that I’m actually enjoying the snow. I grew up going snowboarding with my friends every weekend, and it made me really look forward to the winter every year! But since then, my life has gotten more responsibilities (like nursing babies!), so it makes things a bit more complicated to just take off for the mountains. I found myself feeling pretty gloomy, and I stopped finding stuff in the winter months that I really looked forward to after Christmas. While I’m still taking advantage of any chance I get to hit the slopes, I’m finding other ways to enjoy the winter. It’s definitely a mindset shift, but I’m starting to see the beauty in it, and embrace all the coziness that winter has to offer. Like filling our home with candles after the sun goes down, baking goodies, and bundling up to simply walk outside! Tonight we made cookies, and I must have done something wrong — because they turned out PAPER THIN and super greasy! We laughed our heads off because they were basically deep fried! At least it made our house smell nice. 😉 What are things that you look forward to in the winter? I love hearing ideas!

Hi Hailey!
Living in Arizona, these pictures just slay me. It is so magical. I am hoping that once I graduate from college, I will have the opportunity to relocate somewhere with the four seasons. Variety is the spice of life!
You may be able to find some inspiration in the article below (especially being that you are Scandinavian!) It is all about- hygge 🙂 Good Luck!
