SERVICE PROJECTS
We are thrilled to be working directly with the Sapa community this expedition! We will be working in a remote village where they face poverty and experience extreme cold weather in winter. We are excited to get to work in construction as we provide the community with a kitchen and a refuge for the winter. We will also be working closely to educate the primary and secondary school children to improve their current situations, unite their communities, and open doors to opportunities. Get ready to put on your gloves, and get to work!
ITINERARY
SUNDAY JULY 14 – TRAVEL DAY
Depart from your local city to Hanoi, Vietnam.
MONDAY JULY 15 – DAY 1
TUESDAY JULY 16 – DAY 2
Enjoy your first breakfast as a team before heading North to our hilltop eco-lodge, tucked away in the mountains of Hoang Lien National Park. Settle in to your new bungalow and take part in our introductory meeting.
WEDNESDAY JULY 17 – DAY 3
Service day! Put on your closed-toed shoes and your work gloves and lend a hand in the Sapa community.
THURSDAY JULY 18 – DAY 4
Service day! Put on your closed-toed shoes and your work gloves to wrap up our project in the Sapa community.
FRIDAY JULY 19 – DAY 5
Embark on your first guided adventure; exploring, site-seeing and interacting with the friendly local Sapa tribes as we learn of their unique cultures and beautiful surroundings.
SATURDAY JULY 20 – DAY 6
Experience the intricate markets of Sapa Town before parting ways with the hilltops and rice terraces of the north and heading back to Hanoi.
SUNDAY JULY 21 – DAY 7
Climb aboard a sampan boat for a full day river adventure! Cruise through the stunning landscapes of Tam Coc, with its jagged karst cliffs and lush rice paddies before ending the day on bike through the countryside.
MONDAY JULY 22 – DAY 8
Witness the world renowned emerald waters and jutting rocks of Halong Bay as we embark on a private 2 day mini cruise! Experience dinner and a beautiful sunset on the water with your new friends.
TUESDAY JULY 23 – DAY 9
Wake up aboard the mini cruise with your Somewhere Devine family, and enjoy a fun-packed day of kayaking and cave exploring, before heading back to Hanoi for the last time.
WEDNESDAY JULY 24 – DAY 10
Farewell hugs and breakfast before heading home.
